Mechanical Engineer

JOB TITLE: Mechanical Engineer

JOB DUTIES:

Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
Design of CNC automated cutting machines, machine parts and assemblies.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, of the Plasma cutting machines.
Develop structural design of machines and products using drafting tools/computer-aided design CAD software like Solidworks and AutoCAD.
Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals and other data to evaluate the feasibility and maintenance requirements of the cutting machines.
Create and maintain multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs) for design, manufacturing and service of CNC Plasma cutting machines.
Conduct tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation or performance of equipment, components and systems.
Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity
of modification.
Specify cutting system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, or repair to ensure that machines or equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
Confer with engineers to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
The position requires domestic and international travel up to 30% of the time for installation and training on CNC Plasma cutting machines.

REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Design Engineering.

Senior Controls Engineer

Part-time/contract employee. Flexible hours with remote working option.

5+ years of direct experience as a controls engineer working on automated process systems and coordinate motion control CNC’s.
Design, support, and evaluate automation and control systems to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Participate in start-up and commissioning as well as resolution of open issues.

Required knowledge and experience:

PLC Systems: Allen Bradley/ Rockwell RSLogix and PLCOpen
Control System Programming: VB HMI, Allen Bradley PLC code development, and PLCOpen IEC 61131-3 FB programing
Experience and working knowledge of UL508A Standards

TIG Welder

Machine Assembly Technician

CNC Plasma Cutting Machinery Manufacturer seeking Machine Assembly Technicians. We have an immediate opening for this full-time position. Requires experience in blueprint reading, mechanical and electrical assembly of machinery components, and installation of controls. Experience in the assembly of machinery is required, training on our specific equipment will be provided. This is not an entry-level position. Knowledge of electronics, troubleshooting, and manual/CNC machining experience a plus. Occasional travel may be required to assist in machinery installations.
