28-29 October 2008:  C&G Systems and Burny will be hosting another Burny controls training workshop at C&G's facility in Itasca, IL.  We have had a tremendous response to the last two sessions and classes filled quickly.  Due to scheduling conflicts, we will not be able to schedule a second session for this workshop.  Seating will be limited and attendance will be on a first-come first-served basis.  Please contact your sales representative as soon as possible to reserve your seat, or send an e-mail to service@cgsystems.com to reserve your spot.  We will be conducting another session in late January for anyone that cannot attend this month.

This 2-day course will cover the basic operations of the Burny CNC controls, basic set-up and trouble shooting techniques, as well as live demonstrations.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to discuss specific applications questions with Burny representatives.  As always, there is no charge for attending this course, but seating is limited.

11 December 2008:  Welsco will be hosting an open house at the Alltel Arena located at 1 Alltel Arena Way in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  Show hours will be from 9:00am-3:00pm.  C&G Systems will be there to demonstrate its Aviator XLT machine, and representatives will be on hand to answer your plasma cutting questions.  Please call Welsco at (501) 771-1208 for complete event information.

10/05/2008:  Hypertherm Unveils its new HPR-400XD Precision Plasma Cutting System at FabTech in Las Vegas.

Hypertherm unveiled their new HPR-400XD Precision Plasma Cutting System at a special dealer reception held prior to the open of FabTech 2008 in Las Vegas.   This new 30-400 amp unit features PowerPierce shield technology.  It is capable of performing a standing pierce in 2" mild steel, and features a new liquid cooled torch design that keeps the electrode and torch components cool, significantly improving consumables life.

This new HyPerformance system has demonstrated the ability to achieve more than 300 pierces and cutting speeds in excess of 30 ipm in 2" mild steel.  It is also rated to cut up to 3.2" (80mm) thick material with an edge start.  In addition, Hypertherm has a dry H35 process up to 400 amps for cutting thick stainless steel and aluminum.  C&G Systems looks forward to adding one of these impressive units to its demonstration lab when it becomes available later this year.  Please contact C&G's sales department at sales@cgsystems.com for more information.

08/08/2008:  C&G Systems takes delivery of a new Kaliburn Spirit 400a Precision Plasma Cutting System.

C&G Systems has taken delivery of the newest addition to the Kaliburn line-up.  The Spirit 400a is an industry first 400 amp precision plasma cutting system providing the greatest thickness capacity and highest processing speeds in the industry.  The Spirit 400a is also equipped with an automatic gas console, just select material and thickness and your gas pressures and amperages are set automatically.  With a power range of 30-400 amps, it provides the flexibility needed to cut everything from your finest to your thickest parts.  Utilizing HOT (Hafnium Optimizing Technology), the Spirit 400a also offers exceptional consumable life.

The new Spirit 400a will be installed on one of C&G's in-house demonstration machines and sample cuts will be available by the end of the month.  Please contact C&G's sales department (sales@cgsystems.com) to make arrangements for a demonstration and to have your samples cut.  We are sure you will be as impressed as we have been!

08/08/2008:  Hypertherm Launches SilverPlus® Oxygen Electrodes on HPR 130 and 260 Systems for North America.

Hypertherm is launching three new SilverPlus electrodes designed to operate at 130, 200, and 260 amps on the HPR 130 and HPR 260 systems.  These SilverPlus electrodes incorporate patented technology that doubles the life over standard copper electrodes.  SilverPlus technology involves fusing a silver front-end onto a copper base.  Silver dissipates heat better than copper, thereby allowing the hafnium to burn slower and deeper into the electrode.  This property gives SilverPlus its dramatically longer life.

07/23/2008:  Burny Training Another Big Hit With Customers

C&G Systemsin conjunction with its OEM partner Cleveland Motion Controls, conducted their second in-house training session on Burny CNC Controls.  Attendees included customers, installers, and other OEM partners.  The 2-day course covered basic operation, live demonstrations, as well as basic set-up and troubleshooting techniques.  Customers ranged from 6-month experience, recent installations, and new customers preparing to take delivery of their first new C&G Systems machine.  Users had the opportunity to learn more about the inner-workings of their system, troubleshooting techniques, and interface with Burny technical representatives about issues they have encountered in the field.

Because of an overwhelming demand for this seminar from customers, C&G and Burny are in the process of scheduling another 2-day seminar in late October or early November.  We hope to be able to accommodate everyone that wishes to attend and will conduct two back-to-back programs if necessary.  A DVD version of this training is being put together as a refresher for attendees and for those customers unable to attend in person.  Please contact C&G's service department (service@cgsystems.com) for more information and register early for the upcoming course.
